Dragon Lord
(Redirected from Dragonlord)
Dragon Lords (DLs) are some of the higher and more difficult challenges that the Warlord CCG offers, second only to Medusan Lords; they are the middle-tier of the challenge system. A Dragon Lord is an extremely high-level character who acts as warlord of their deck. They typically begin the game with Dragons in play to make them even more powerful. To challenge a Dragon Lord a player must first attend an event where one is being played, they must then submit an unsigned Overlord for signing. If a player defeats a Dragon Lord, then the Dragon Lord is theirs to keep.
In the beginning of the program only a select few AEG employees had Dragon Lord decks, but with time the program has been expanded to reward some of the hardest working volunteers with Dragon Lords decks of their own. Each Dragon Lord runner gets to design their own decks. Additionally, Dragon Lord runners own the DLs and may do with them as they please, which has seen some of them used as prize support rather than only for challenges. In the beginning of the program Dragon Lords were committed to be legal only in one or two formats, but since the creation of Dragon Lord runners DL decks can be built to any format and take challenges as such. Some Dragon Lord runners will run decks with the retired Dragon Lords for fun.
